If resetting the current version doesn't work I'd do a DDU uninstall and then clean reinstall of the AMD driver and a full reinstall of VEGAS.

Problem appears in Vegas 20 (411) but also in 21.
I think report it to AMD as the older driver version worked for you.

I can't figure out the exact source of this strange behaviour. As mentioned, fx modules work fine once after starting Vegas, but when opening fx window for the second time the preview window freezes.

@croudy I've never uninstalled Vegas when doing a driver update for the GPU. I've used AMD's own amdcleanuputility which will reboot your computer into Safe Mode to uninstall the driver, then prompt you to restart.
AMD GPU users are as rare as "hen's teeth". But there are 6000 series users including myself here. I doubt if it's an OpenGL/CL issue since the driver installs it.

Adrenalin 24.6.1 shows up the same problem with video fx in preview window.
Here is a screenshot of Adrenalin 24.6.1 on my computer with Titles and Text, Title 13. Win11 Pro fully up to date.
Test version of Vegas 22 (Build 122) and Adrenalin 24.9.1: Problem doesn't exist.
Vegas 20 (411) with 24.9.1: Problem is still there.
The strange thing is, that the first call of title fx shows no problems (Vegas 20), but the ones after do.

I don't understand... what do you mean by opening an edit window of an existing title. I have 3 titles on the timeline. They all opened and I could edit each one without any issue, multiple times along with playing them back.

New project - create new title media on track - close title event windows - open it (the one one the track) again
I am not seeing what you showed in your video. I can open a title. Close the window. Open it again and add or delete text characters and they appear in the Preview window as I edit and change the text.
I do not have to close the window for the changes to take effect.
