Title question

1) Is it possible to overlap an FX title on a clip so that it appears as a subtitle on the clip? I do it now by adding the title on the video overlay line, but it's a nuisance to tie the lines together every time I want to edit something at an earlier event.
2) I like to have scrolling titles, but all the scrolling titles have left and right side entries - I want just plain lines. I guess I could do it in regular titles and then do a pan move, but it would be nice if I could use an already built in scroll title routine.

I'm not following you completely on #1. I'm guessing you mean you want to type directly on the video event, but i may be wrong. If i'm right, there's no way to do that directly. You could create the title the way you're already doing it, then render the combined video clip with title to a new file, then use this new file instead. That's a lot of effort and it makes it rather more difficult if you need to change the title. Another option is to select both the video clip and the title and Group them. Then they'll at least stay together if you move them.

For #2, create your new title line entries as "Subitem" text, or right-mouse-button click on the icon at the left of the line and choose the second option. These lines are single items instead of two-column items.

1) If your concern is keeping your titling synced up with a video clip, you can always set it in place and then group them (Just hold down the shift key as you select all the clips and titles you want to link, then hit G).

2) Titles aren't yet Screenblast's strong suit, but you can apply a couple of different text styles in your rolling titles -- some of which are centerred rather than set to left and right.

Does anyone else out there know if there is a way to add text styles to limited selection in each title effect? The one or two each offers is a bit limited.
