titles and text crashes

In vegas platinum 11 I find that using the new titles and text option in media generators crashes at random although I think it is worse when animating. All the other media generator options are OK. I am running windows 7 dual core 2.6ghz and 3g memory

I assume you're referring to the motion titles available in VMS 11. They are more resource intensive than the other media generators. What sort of files are you editing when it crashes? AVCHD? Do you have a 32 bit version of Windows 7 or 64 bit?

they are all mpg files
windows is 7/ 32 bit
All other aspects of editing seem OK just the new titles and text

Are you running any plug-ins when it crashes? Are you getting any particular error message? I haven't had the new titles and text giving me any issues, but I'm running with Windows 7 64 bit with 6 gig of RAM and a Core i-7 processor. I know you exceed the minimum specifications stated by Sony, I'm wondering if something you're doing causes VMS to use more than 2 gig of RAM. You said you're editing MPG files, could you please tell us the bit-rate and length of the files you work with?
