Titles For Short Movies

So, I've been experimenting with making opening credit titles along with some animation. I'm using Macromedia Flash MX to create this media.
-First of all, I was wondering if anyone else has done any titles and animations in Flash for export into Vegas.
-Also, what would be the best frame rate to use in Flash when planning to render to .avi for use in Vegas?
-One other thing, my Vegas projects are typically in 16:9 aspect ratio. What pixel ratio should I be using in my flash project?

I'm very interested in creating nice, smooth, filmic (not extravagant or 3D) Opening Credits and Graphics and I was wondering if there are any suggestions for other software.

Depending on how involved you want to get, Crystal 3D & Cool3D can do some decent stuff. You could do your basic work in Freehand, Illustrator, Corel etc. importing this into Vegas [basically what you're doing now, but it would give you more drawing tools and finesse]. Higher up the chain, After Effects is often used, some software has titling software included like TitleDeco, and Cinema 4D is popular.

Of course you can do an awful lot never leaving Vegas.
