Titling tool for Vegas

I have regularly used the Power CG plus for last 4 years as a plug-in for Fast's Video Machine. Excellent Broadcast quality titler.
I have been Beta-testing it as a plug-in for Vegas 4/5 and find that it integrates very well, produces excellent titles and because each title is a graphic, render times are minimal.
Installation as a plug-in should not be a problem. I was given a small install-to-Vegas file to register it as a plug-in with Vegas.
For those who would like to try it out
1 - drop Poer CG+ as a media generator on time line.
2 -You do not have to save a snapshot every time. It is just being helpful. When it asks if you would like to save a snapshot, for use as abackground just say No.
3 - Try out its roll and crawl capabilities. It is great. Just remeber that you have use key frames to get the roll/crawl to work.

I got that completely wrong. Power CG does not save as TGA. .

It's just a small bug in the code. It will be fixed so that it opens/installs correctly.

The User Manual has sections on using PowerCG rfs with a bunch of video packages, but nothing about how to use it with Vegas...

(In fact, searching for "Vegas" in the manual comes up with zero hits.)

I will have the updated RFS manual on the website soon. The Updated Plus manual is
already on the web-site.

The Plug-in operation is nearly identical.

The Cayman tool looks impressive, but I hope that Sony are continuing to develop their Text Media Generator - just a few enhancements (such as differential character colouring and gradients) will do me fine.

I have updated the Power CG setup program to fix the problem some users where having during installation. It has been updated it on our web-site. You can download it from:

http://www.caymangraphics.com/Downloads.html#PlugIn

I have also posted the updated Power CG rfs manual that has the chapter pertaining to Using Power CG with Vegas. It can be downloaded from:

http://www.caymangraphics.com/PowerCG_RFS_manual.html

The Power CG Plus manual already had that section:

Enjoy!

What exactly do you mean by "drop it on the Vegas window?"

I wondered about that, too. In over 30 years of computer work, I have missed that bit of arcania.

I downloaded and installed Power CG rfs yesterday - no problems at all.

It showed up as a 'media generator' immediately in Vegas, was simple enough to use, and produced excellent results. No bugs or problems encountered!

What exactly do you mean by "drop it on the Vegas window?"

This is a standard method in Windows for giving data to an app, it's been around for a long time. You can for example drag and drop a Word file from Windows Explorer onto a Word icon on the taskbar, this will open the document in a new window.

In the Vegas case, Vegas sees that the file being dropped on to it needs another action, that's all.

If it had been a [supported] video file, Vegas would have interpreted it appropriately and opened it for editing.

Wombat, I'm a dunce. I can't get anything out of it that looks half-way decent.
