To 9d or not 9d, that is the question!

I am running 9c without too many issues. I do get moments where it stops responding for 5-10 seconds at a time as noted in the forum.

I have gone through the 9d posts, noting that some people are experiencing slow .veg loads, others aren't. I don't use the program commercially and could roll back to 9c if needed, so this isn't a critical situation.

I am curious though if most people are happy with 9d over 9c. Of course, people with issues are the ones that tend to post, but it seems to me there's probably a lot of happy silent users of 9d and interested whether they would chime in with a simple 'it's OK for me' kind of post to help those of us on the fence.

I'm happy with V9.0d .. much improved over 9.0c (I was running 9.0b as 9.0c would not handle JPG and AVCHD at the same time --- this is fixed in 9.0d plus some nice new features)

Sounds like no downside for you. Go for it.

I was also very reluctant to switch from 9c but did anyway after reading that Sony was aware of the slow load times. Have experienced no problems. First time load of a 9c project took about 30 seconds and after that load time was normal.

I took the plunge with 9d from 9c and had the very slow load up times so i followed all the ideas on the forum including the uninstall and the reg clean stuff and still it remained the same really bad load up times which made it unusable for me but after some digging about at sony, ive cured this problem and things are running very well in fact i would say that 9d loads faster now than 9c,so the trick is when you update and start 9d for the first time set it to default settings by holding down the ctrl+shift keys while clicking on the vegas icon keep them held down until vegas has loaded it will ask if you want to clear the cache settings for vegas click yes, this has worked a treat for me it seems that it is reading all data from files which makes for a long load up but like i said it has changed now ive reset vegas settings.

I tryed that solution, but it doesn't work for me. I've got some complex projects which still take forever to open. It's very frustrating... So at the moment I reverted back to 9.0c.

Bye everyone.
