To run or not to run as administrator?

Find after rendering a file/clip I loose control of the timeline & an error message appears.
If I now close VP and reopen with admin rights the timeline is OK. Can also re-render & still have control of timeline after rendering has completed.  If I just close & reopen VP often as not I have control of the timeline

Problem Happy Otter Scripts objects to VP running with admin rights.

Happens with VP14->VP16 latest versions.  3 machines.

OK I can live with it but do not have same problems with GV Edius.

the biggest issue when using your own machine as a regular user\guest , is any time any program "makes a change to the system" you will be prompt for the password . If logged on as the admin , you will just get the UAC MessageBox() . Typically apps. have more access when in admin mode . I normally am in admin mode , cause having to type in the password all the time is a hassle . Unusual to hear slap happy scripts don't like admin .

There could be something in Vegas . when I go into Vegas Menu : Tools-->burn disk-->burn Blu-ray disk Vegas always pops a MessageBox() saying it does not have certain access rights and functionality may be limited , click ok and it works anyway , when using admin ..
