To upgrade or not.

Have been using movie studio platinum 8 for sometime, and am happy to do so. Have as opportunity to upgrade, and looking at Vegas Movie Studio 9.0 Platinum Pro.

Now, should I bother?, I do not want to end up with lots of problems. Forget about if my laptop can manage it, I will sort that out. Just wondering what extra features there are. I like the idea of blue ray burning, but did not understand that in this version, blue ray burning (vegas timeline), this can be seen under the comparison chart. What does that mean?

I may be a bit behind with my version, so another reason I would like to upgrade. Thanks, Andy.

Wait about 2 weeks, then upgrade. According to unofficial info found recently on the web, Vegas Movie Studio 10 HD is about to be released. June 8th has been reported as a release date.

See this thread, and particularly the posts near the end:

Nothing has officially been reported by Sony yet, but retailers get advance info so they can be ready for release, and sometimes retailers begin updating their websites before they are supposed to, or their webpages go "live" before they are supposed to.
