I previously upgraded for $139, but I guess this is in honor of the date. Vegas 12 on 12/12/12. To bad it wasn't $12.

Maybe it's $99 in honor of it being 9 more days until the end of the Mayan calendar?

Went for it. Can't beat $99.

Guess we got an older version of Titler Pro. The email I got after purchase had a link --

"Your copy of Vegas Pro includes Titler Pro, a 3D titler from NewBlueFX."

I downloaded NewBlueTitlerProForSonyVegasSetup-120814.exe but haven't installed yet.

Yep, at that price I had to jump - especially as a couple of new AVCHD cams will be on their way soon.

They got me too. I won't be installing for at least a month, but with the price difference I can afford a comfortable mouthpiece if the teeth gnashing gets too bad.

Anyone got a link for the NB titlerpro 2.0 upgrade for $99?

Knew I should have waited....:^(
Jvidiot wrote on 12/13/2012, 1:44 AM
So should I. But, waited forever.

Bought it today at the 'special' price and installed it. It runs for about 2 minutes and crashes with a very simple edit. I was getting about 5 minutes with Vegas 11. Not the upgrade I was hoping for.

For me, what happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas for long. Been a long hard year of constant bugs and crashes with 11 and now 12 promises more of the same. I can remember when Vegas was the most stable NLE. Not anymore.

bastinado? Are you serious? Has it been announced?

Anyone got a link for the NB titlerpro 2.0 upgrade for $99?

Grazie

Erikd,

6 weeks is a long time. You have never bought anything from a store that went on sale (1 day only by the way) 2 months later?

Many places i've shopped from have, in that case, offered to refund the difference to me if i asked nicely. It might not hurt to ask SCS, nicely.
TorS wrote on 12/13/2012, 9:34 AM
SCS has been known to refund the earliest buyers' "loss" when an upgrade has been available before the special upgrade price was announced. I suppose they still do, but I think this is different. This was a special sale booster for V 12 linked with the 12.12.12 date. One does not expect a seller to compensate people who missed such a thing, even by a day. There is a difference between a sale or a seasonal discount and a special first month upgrade price.
Still, like Chienworks said, no harm in asking. They are a reasonable lot, normally, the SCS people.

Grazie, it looks like it was a limited time offer that expired october 31. I missed it, it was attached to the first V12 upgrade offer apparently that I did not take.

My point is that you don't hurt your good customers. If we had been given the choice to buy now for $139 or wait 6 weeks and get 30% off I'm pretty sure that a lot of people would have waited. The reason we bought is because we were told the price would go up. The obvious implication being it is not going to be cheaper than $139. Bush league in my opinion.

bastinado: "Grazie, it looks like it was a limited time offer "

Thanks for getting back. Much appreciated.

Grazie

Some of the other discounts are now gone from the $139 offering. The $99 price is now higher if you get the New Titler and Video Essentials.

I was on the upgrade "train" to version 10 and then I got off on that exit. It's a nice exit and seems to have everything I need. And of course I'm still waiting for AVCHD smartrender...
