I used to say that. However, it does install what amounts to a virus. It keeps itself active in the background at all times. Even when you disable this feature it renables itself during the next reboot and then hides the fact that it is doing that. I had come up with a recipe for defeating it under versions 8 & 9. Newer versions have gotten better at hiding and reenabling themselves.
I have set RealPlayer to be the default for no media types whatsoever, and then after a few weeks it suddenly becomes the default player for several types that aren't even Real format. It is too much hassle to deal with.
More and more I'm using VMWare workstation. You can install Windows on a virtual machine, take a snapshot and do any sort of nasty things to Windows. If you don't like it restore from the snapshot and it's all is gone. At $175 it's not cheap but worth it to me time wise.
Oh my... it throws balls!!! My DOG would LOVE this. He would fetch a ball 24 hours a day if only I would have the stamina. This might be the way to do it... It would make a very cool video as well.
QRIO throws ball.
Dog fetches ball... delivers to feet of QRIO
QRIO picks it up...
does a "fake" throw to one side..
Dog runs to fetch it..... realizes it's not there
QRIO throws it in another direction
Dog retreives ball.
REPEAT.
I agree. Use Real Alternative. That’s what I’ve been using. I would never allow Real on any of my computers again. Like Kelly said, it’s a Trojan program that continually infects your PC. That’s absolutely unacceptable behavior.
