Track buffering

Have some problems with this when it becomes to sidechain compression.

When i have it turned off the playback is stuttering due to a large project.

When i turn it on the playback and sidechain is not in sync as it should. Is there a way to calculate the track buffering time due to the asio latency or something, i cant get it tight when track buffering is on.

Not sure what you're trying to do. How are you sidechaining compression? 3rd party plugin?

db audioware sidechain compressor on kick channel.
db audioware sidechain compressor on bus channel that receives signal from the kick.
Audio channels that should be ducking is routed to the bus that has the db audioware sidechain compressor.

Problem is that the ducking is impossible to get right/tight when track buffering is on.
Feels like some delay thru the vst plugins that is not corrected some how .
And to play around with the track buffering parameter to just get aaah it "feels" ok is not enough, it has to be 100% right...

I don't have a solution for you but I commend you for trying to get sidechain compression working in vegas. I gave up and switched to reaper which has been wonderful!
It sounds like the plugin needs more buffering than you're currently getting with vegas. Can you increase the playback buffer?
