Track Motion

I was playing with the track motion and what I wanted to do was suddenly squash the event to half it's height at the top of the screen and place another track (also squashed) to the bottom half of the screen.

When I add Keyframe position for each of these, say, five seconds in the event can be seen actually being squashed. This isn't the effect I would like as I would prefer to make it suddenly appear squashed.

Is there a way to do this without having to resort to cutting the event first at where I wish the effect to take place.

Cheers

Split each scene where you want it squashed. Leave part normal, the rest squash. On scent two, do the reverse. That way it is not seen being squashed, it STARTS that way.

Set a keyframe to squash it just the way you wish. Right click the keyframe and choose "Hold"

"Hold" is your solution, and it should be applied to the first keyframe. That will make it hold until it reached the second keyframe, where your helf-size setting takes affect immediately, with no interpolation.
