Track Motion and Export Problems

Hi,
I'm new to Sony Vegas, I find it's generally very powerful and easy to learn, but I'm experiencing two problems, I don't know if they're somehow related each other:

1)the playback of exported Quicktime files is somehow static.

2)Track Motion effects don't work the way I want, in that picture in picture effects in the exported file don't look the same as in the project canvas.
I want to create an animated PIP effect where video events placed on several video layers are smoothly downsized so that they all together fill the whole screen without leaving blank areas. While in the project canvas the effect created using Track Motion works fine, in the exported file overlapping video events are automatically downsized more than I want, leaving unwanted gaps and appearing in the wrong position. I'm using the latest Vegas release (9.0c) so I think it can't be a bug. If I do something wrong, why do my errors appear only in the rendered file? How can I fix this? I've tried using Pan and Zoom for shrinking the events and then Track Motion to change their position and it works, but it adds however a bigger amount of complexity. How can I create a good PIP effect using only Track Motion? Thank you.

Check to see if your render settings are different than your project properties.

Are you using a mix of media with different aspect ratios?

Can you post a screenshot of preview and then the same frame rendered?
(you can't post images on the Vegas forum. Can you post elsewhere?)

QT, like most codecs, has many variables. We need more specifics on your rendering settings before we can offer any useful information.

That's right,
thank you xberk, I'm working on a PAL DV Widescreen project and the export format was set by default to PAL DV. Now it all works fine.
For Quicktime editing I'll try again. All that I can say by now is that I left the default settings, I just set the render quality to the top.
