track motion button

I have been experimenting with the "Track Motion Button" and Compositing mode buttons have had little luck. I can't seem to get a "mask" shape on ..e.g. oval, etc.in the composite mode.

And now...I cannot get the Track Motion Button to do anything...I get nothing when I click on it.

Thanks for your quick response. I did this...but still nothing. I've tried just about everything I can think of.....but I get absolutely nothing when I select the Track Motion button. I don't understand it....it was working fine earlier. I remember "resizing" the "track motion" window...and it disappeared. I thought maybe it was hidden behind other windows....but I can't find it.

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

The surest way to get it back is to "reset" Vegas. Exit the program, then when you start it again hold down the Shift & Ctrl keys while starting. Vegas will reset all options, preferences, and window layouts back to they way they were when originally installed.

The downside is that Vegas will reset ALL options, preferences, and window layouts back to they way they were when originally installed.
