Track Motion Window Locked To Docking

Would someone show pity for the new user and answer the following:

I hit an unknown button or keystroke and my Track Motion and Pan Crop Windows are suddenly locking to the docking window. I tried dragging the bar on the left side to float them again, but this only moves them horizontally. What did I hit and how do I undo? Thx

You need to hold down left mouse and drag once you grab the "handle"*. It sometimes takes a try or two.

* the handle is that thin vertical line you've found. I keep wondering why they don't make it thicker, change the color or just put a real handle on the end of it.
