I'm guessing you mean "mini DV", since there's no such thing as a "dvd tape".

Vegas Movie Studio is a trimmed down version of Vegas Pro. You'll be completely familiar with the layout and operation of it immediately. There are some features that won't be there but most everything you'll need will be.

However, if you already have Vegas Pro, why not just use that?
