Are you referring to separate files that you have put together in a playlist? In that case there will be a delay while the player accesses the next file.

You can avoid this by using a Music/Video compilation instead of a playlist. Each item will then appear as a chapter within a single title.

Technically speaking, what you have are not chapters. They are individual titles. A playlist simply tells the DVD player to go on to one title after finishing another.

Chapters, on the other hand, are like "bookmarks" within a single, complete title. This is what you'll get when you follow Mike's advice above.

But, honestly, the most reliable and flexible method is to create one complete MPEG2 in the first place and insert chapter markers. There are programs around for merging multiple MPEGs into one complete file -- VOBMerge and Womble MPEG Video Wizard come to mind, as does VideoReDo.
