transparent credit roll

Hi. I have a question regarding the use of adding Text into Vegas 4.0. Whenever I add text, it covers up the image of the movie, and while I can hear it, I can't see it. And then when the text's time slot ends, the movie comes back. What I'm asking for help on is this- is there a way to make a text background on Vegas 4.0 transparent so that I can do opening credits with being able to see the movie running?
I've tried to make the background transparent under "styles" but it's still black.

ante There are several Credit Rolls. Select the one with a Tranni background . . For easy selection it is thwe one with the grey/white backgound in the Media Generator windwo pane . . get back with how you got on - yeah?

Under the "styles" tab you can move the background color slider all the way down to transparent

Also, make sure you put the title on a track ABOVE the video track and NOT on the same track as the video.
