Use 24 bit transparent PNG vs 8 bit transparent gif files - my experience has been they retain much better IQ in my experience.

Open in Photoshop, Change color space by going to "Image -> Mode -> RGB" then go to "File" then "export to web", select 24 bit transparent png...

PNG's are known to be friendly within Vegas Pro as opposed to GIF's and Jpgs.

Thanks for the help...unfortunately I don't have photoshop...I got the image from a bundle o purchase Called Let's animate

You might want to look at downloading GIMP or the trial of Affinity Photo for graphics work - the former is free while the latter is very reasonable in price for what it does..
