Tried to install Boris chromakey that came with 19 Pro upgrade

I bought the same deal last August .. I installed Primatte later. Magix emailed me my receipt and serial number at time of purchase. I then followed the links to here:

@dxdy ... Typically, the version of BCC Units or Filters that come with Vegas Pro as a bonus are not the current version as released by BorisFX. It looks like you've downloaded and installed version 15 which is also called BCC 2022. Check the documentation that you got from Vegas about which version of the BCC came with your vegas Pro purchase and download/install that version from BorisFX's legacy download page:

If it version 2021, the version to select should be 14.0.3 (OFX); if it's 2021.5, the version should be 14.5.3 (OFX).

Also, it would be a good idea to watch thisYT tutorial - - about how to install just your licensed BCC Units/Filters in Vegas Pro. The BCC download link above will install the entire BCC suite so you will get dozens upon dozens of unlicensed VFX with red crosses through them, unless the install process is coded to install only the licensed VFX and none of the unlicensed VFX.

Have been battling that exact problem with a Boris tech for weeks, trying to get those extra BCC unlicensed plug-ins removed -- I just want Primatte, and the extras are/were* slowing down editing in a huge way.

*I completely uninstalled all of BCC a couple of days ago to clean up the Trans+VidFx windows until this project is done. Then may I will revisit the Primatte installation and see if it can be cleaner.

@D_Choice you have to choose if you want to install all the Continuum plugins, or only the licensed one. Otherwise, as you've noticed, everything in Continuum will be installed and water marked.

In the past, I uninstalled Boris and made sure it wasn't still in OFX folder, reinstalled and watched what I was doing during the installation. The video that @Dexcon posted is clear on what to do and you shouldn't have anything other than licensed software installed.

Thanks, @Reyfox. In both installation attempts, I never had the option to select "all or only" up front - it was only at the end of the installation where I checked the box to remove all unlicensed plug-ins -- which didn't work - twice. Even having followed the video verbatim, and with the Boris tech sending me a unique install fine, the dozens of BCC transitions/Vfx still remained.

Primatte is a fantastic keyer and I very much plan to revisit the installation fresh, once this project is done. I'm sure it will get sorted one way or the other.

One reason I finally decided to go with Boris Continuum Complete was because of compatibility issues within Boris with different version numbers. Say you want to upgrade to VP20 which comes with Boris plugins for 2022 that you would like to have in addition to Primatte, you can't "mix and match". It's either 2021.5 or 2022. Not a combination of both.

Having Continuum Complete (I bought during Black Friday and Boris gave me additional discounts for the Boris plugins I already have), I don't have to worry about compatibility issues. In addition, the host of plugins is amazing, and covers just about every need I can think of.

Jon @ Boris has been very helpful. He sent me a couple of other options to try today, though I (fortunately) never needed to try them -- since I had already uninstalled and cleaned folders/registry of BCC goo to clean up the Trans+VFX windows in vegas, I decided to go ahead and try the installation... again. This time, the "remove unlicensed plug-ins" worked, and Primatte is all that remains in the VFX window. Sweet! I did save his latest tweaks just in case a reinstall at some point yields the same array of unlicensed plug-ins still showing.

Good points on the Continuum Complete. I love their products and that's $ well-spent. Seriously considering that, especially if there's a special going on, and future compat is not an issue.
