Trim multi editing

hi

sony vegas pro 17

im trying to edit few events in 1 time (video events)

to hold them all together and make the little bit longer from the right side of the event
and short from the left side of the event.

but when I try to edit the together its moving only one of them even when I select them all

how can I do it ?

You are correct, trimming multiple video events on the timeline (even if grouped) is not possible. Only the first event will have its in/out positions altered.

I am interested to know under what circumstances bulk adjustments like that would be necessary given that editing usually involves creative decisions relating to the content and effectiveness of each shot rather than a standard length where the in/out points are not individually decided based on the characteristics of each shot. But maybe there is a reason.
