[Trimmer] No Playback on external monitor

AVsupport wrote on 11/11/2018, 8:59 PM

Loaded clips into trimmer, choose 'Trimmer on External Monitor'.

Start Image appears. As soon as I hit Play <space bar>, main monitor goes black and external monitor remains on freeze frame even though frames are counting (playback). On stop, end frame appears on both main screen and external monitor.

This is with both XAVC-S 4K and DJI mp4 2K source clips.

Can anyone pls confirm this, is this a bug or am I just being pedantic again..

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

32GB (4x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

Crucial BX500 1TB EDIT 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD

2x 4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.

main screen 4K/50p 1ms scaled @175%, second screen 1920x1080/50p 1ms.

No problem here in VP16 build 307. Tried a variety of formats including those you mention. GPU off.

[and yes, this is 16.307] interesting @NickHope I have disabled iGPU in Bios and use nVidia 1060/6 exclusively, hence I won't / can't do GPU off. Do you recon this is another one of those..???

Sounds like a GPU/GPU-driver specific issue, if that's what you mean.

Updated nVidia drivers. reboot. Reset 'Window Layouts' to default.. Re-Check 'Display frames in video preview during playback'. FIXED. panicked too early it seems..;-)
