Trimmer Question

In Adobe.....you can open a clip from the time, make an in or out change....and then hit apply to update the timeline. Is there a way in Vegas to open a clip in trimmer.....make a change...then apply that change back to the timeline? I have been deleting and re-dragging. Seems there should be a better way.

If the length of the clip remains the same, but you jsut want to change where it begins & ends, then slip editing (or is it slide -- I always get the two confused) is the way to go -- something I use all the time.

You can look it up, but basically you mouse over the event you want to alter, hold down ALT and click & drag in teh direction you want to go. In VV4, you actually see the start & end frames split in the preview window.
