Trimming video clip

Is it possible to trim the top part or bottom part off of a video clip ? For example if you are watching espn and the scores are scrolling on the bottom, can that part be cut out ? Thanks

sure, there are several ways:
1)Use pan crop. Drop your video onto the timeline, click the little square pan crop box near the end, go to the pan crop window and drag the edge past the offending material.
2)Use cookie cutter to "cut out" what you want
3)Add a border to mask what you don't want to see
