Trouble Buring Disc

jkerry wrote on 12/27/2008, 9:58 PM
I have started to have problems with burning disc. Everything I have tried I get the same error message below. Have not had any problems until the past week. All video are 1 hour or less and using the format for DVDE in Vegas Pro. Even the files I have saved in DVD Arch. will not burn.

I currently have 2 burners. 1. Plextor PX-760A and 2. HP dvd 940. When I try it in either drive I get the same error.

Can anyone offer any suggestion.

Thanks,
Jeff

This will sound stupid, but I have been there. Make sure yo have DVD blanks and not CD blanks.

I have tried to use many built-in burning apps
within authoring/editing/encoding apps.
I had no big success ever.
(Ulead,DVDlab,Canopus,Premiere,Encore.)

Then I came across ImgBurn 2.4.2.0 (Freeware).
This looks like the best maintained burning engine so far.
So many and useful settings.
In your case you can toggle on/off OPC,
allow or disallow full BD-RE formatting

Even BD-RE is running perfectly here.

I am currently using DiscMakers Preim. DVD-R. Have been using thier disc for over 3 years and have not had a problem until now. That is what makes me think it is either the sofware or the drive itself.

Tks,
Jeff

Will this program allow the use of buttons to click to the video. At times I have 2 videos on the DVD and will need a way to click to each one.

Let DVDA prepare the disk image. Let ImgBurn write the disk. Best of both worlds.

Thanks, that worked also. But did some more checking and found out tha my drives were not working upto par. Replaced tham and not not having any problems so far.
But I have kept the program on the system if I run into that problem again.

Tks,
Jeff
