Trouble viewing the "Preview" in Project Media.

I am having trouble viewing the "Preview Picture'' of my video clip in the Project Window of my Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0.

The problem is instead of the normal "Preview Picture" of the footage, it shows the clips channel, audio format, frame rate, field order exct.

But I would Like to have the "Preview Picture" of the footage instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not quite clear what you're saying, Brad. Are you saying that you can't see a preview monitor in the window? You only see a bunch of numbers?

Have you tried resizing this panel in the interface? It may be too small to show the picture. In fact, especially if you're working on a laptop, you may not have enough room on your monitor to spread everything out and see it all.

One other thing to try. Drag on the gripper (the .... runs along the upper left of Preview panel). This will pull it from from the rest of the interface. Can you see the Preview monitor yet? (Per my books, you can then restore your interface by going to the View menu, selecting Windows Layouts/Default Layout.)

Hey, I think I helped myself out on this one, but your reply made me look at the Project Media window, and I saw a little "drop tap" were you could chose: list, detail, or thumbnail. I had selected detailed on accident.
But thank you for the quick reply, Steve, it saved me some heartache thanks
