Troubles launching and Uninstalling Vegas Pro (Steam Edition)

Hi, so recently I've been having issues with my PC, due to this I had to install a new motherboard, this new motherboard only had 2 SATA ports, so I had to make the hard decision to keep a drive unplugged.

Unfortunately, this Hard Drive I picked was the hard drive I had installed Vegas Pro 20.0 (Steam Edition) to, upon realizing this I reinstalled Vegas Pro through steam to one of my other hard drives. Once installed its simply refused to open giving this error.
I assumed there was a file on my PC somewhere that was pointing Vegas in the wrong direction. I attempted to delete everything Vegas related i could find on my PC. Appdata/Program Data/RegKeys/Local/LocalData. The whole lot, but no matter what I've tried to do, Vegas wont open.

Any help would be appreciated.

The registration and activation process used by Steam is different and completely separate to the registration/activation system used by Vegas Pro on MAGIX's system. However, Vegas Pro's Support Help webpage includes the following about activating Vegas Pro Steam on a second computer (which is effectively what you have done):

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/support/article/installing-the-program-on-more-than-one-computer-steam-version--577/

To install a Steam version of the program on a second computer, you don't have to uninstall the software from the first computer.

Steam versions are linked to your Steam account and can be installed on any computer as long as you are logged into your account on that machine.

Installation instructions

  1. First, download and install the Steam client onto the second computer.
  2. Then, log in to the Steam account you used to purchase the software.
  3. When you do this, Steam will send you an email containing an auth code. When prompted, enter the code in the Steam client.
  4. Finally, download the program and install it.

If this doesn't work, you'll likely need to contact Steam Support for advice about how to get their system to recognise your new Vegas Pro installation.
