My son's teacher has several .vob files from a dvd camcorder she has. These are her recordings of teaching sessions, and she'd like me to create a few master DVDs with menus.

I can't seem to load them into Vegas unless I change the extension to .mpg. Same with DVDA, too. I'm not familiar with .vob files. Are they actually mpg?

She doesn't really need me to edit them, although I may add an optional music track on DVDA at low volume, for the segments which are quiet (demonstrations).
