I have a new PC that I have just installed my Vegas 11.0 on, correctly entering my security code. When I try to open it, I'm told that if my account lacks sufficient privileges, I'll be prompted to provide administrator credentials. But I am the only user of this computer and I already have administrator privileges. When I click 'Next', I'm taken to a registration dialog with my name, address, etc. already on it. When I continue from there, I'm told that the date on the certificate is invalid and that I should check the date on my computer. But that is correctly shown as today's date, 1-13-2024. When I click Next from there, I'm taken to the original registration screen so I appear to be in an infinite loop.
When I tried this earlier today, I wound up in a labyrinth run by a company called MAGIX. What's going on? Has Vegas been bought by this other company, whose site is the epitome of user-unfriendliness?
What should I do? All I want is just to be able to run Vegas on this new Windows 11 computer. It's 64-bit, and I chose 64-bit when I did the install. Please note that I have no need of a newer version of Vegas. Version 11 meets my needs perfectly.
I bought this new computer since my earlier Win 11 computer crashed, and I bought this new, faster computer since it can run RAID, an automatic backup that resides on a separate disc on this computer, and will preserve all my installed apps if this computer crashes, too. I'm told I should have gone with NAS, which is on the cloud, but unfortunately I had never heard of it. Please accept my apology if this post is too verbose!.
