.TS files from Hauppage HD PVR crash VMSPE9

I am trying to use .ts files that were generated by Hauppauge HD PVR (at 1920x1080). When I insert the files into “project media” VMSPE9 generates thumnails for the files. Peak building runs unevently. When I drag a file to the video time line track, more corresponding thumnails are correctly generated on the video track. When I move the cursor to different locations on the timeline track, preview images are generated. After a few such selections or after I start playing the track, VMSPE9 crashes and generates a dump file. Why?

You need to discover VideoReDo. Run them through "quickstream fix" and they should open fine in Vegas. Also, if you are just trimming program ends and editing out commercials, VideoReDo is much better suited and faster than Vegas for this.

Understand that timeline handling of full HD is sluggish at best, except on the fastest of machines. The solution is to render to an intermediate codec (do a forum search).

You should try the VideoReDo h.264 beta for your files. Understand that it is still a work in progress . . .
