Turning a fade into a 'dissolve'

farss wrote on 11/3/2005, 11:59 PM
Just a simple trick I used in a recent video. Works best on supers. Put a short fade, say 1 second at the end and add the Gaussian Blur FX. Use keyframes to keep the GB at 0 until the start of the fade and crank it up to Extreme at the end of the fade.

Sorry if it seems a trivial idea but thought I'd post something more in line with what this forum's really here for :)

Bob.

Very cool Bob. Thanks.
This reminded me to check out the "film-style disolve" form http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=406075
Also sweet.

I'm not yet a full Vegas user - have to sell the kids first to pay for it! :o)

The new Vegas Movie Studio Platinum comes with Pixelan plug-ins. Do other plugins, like the one mentioned here, also work with VMS Platinum, or are the exclusively the domain of Vegas Video?
