Vegas Video is good at adding motion to still images. No need to settle for bland still images that just sit there when you can do so much more. This tutorial uses the cookie cutter plug-in to animate a few still images of road maps. Part one, see how to pan and zoom while moving along highways staying on the road even when you hit turns and curves. Once you know the basics, it really is rather simple.

Part two takes a different approach on panning and zooming using the cookie cutter differently, first panning, then zooming, then switching to a close up map while the original map slowly darkens into the background. Had to play with the 3D plug-in a little for the intro.
