@Haydn-Evans Unfortunately no. This is a known problem with the 'Show Me How' option.

On the other hand, there are numerous tutorials on YouTube to get you started.

So I wonder why this known problem is not fixed? I don't understand. It's important! There are 10's of thousands of very inexperienced video creators out there with cell phones and dreams of YouTube fame. They are called "CUSTOMERS". Or at least potential customers. But the learning curve for Vegas is VERY steep and the resources to achieve any understanding are meager. The sense of Vegas direct support is parsimonious (to be generous). And the built in Show Me How is broken? Sheesh!

@Haydn-Evans Is this what you're seeing?

If so, you need to select the Explore tab to continue.

Thanks Jack but the instructions were asking to select the WINDOW > VIEW > EXPLORER and didn't move on from here. According to others it's seems like this is a known issue so I too am very surprised it's not been resolved by Vegas. It does seem that the program is less intuitive than others I've used before and tbh, it's putting me off proceeding further passed the trial period.

@Haydn-Evans Can you tell me exactly where you are in the tutorial where it prompts to select Window>View>Explorer?

@Haydn-Evans I think I've got it now. Is this where you're coming unstuck?

If so, you need to select View (in the orange box) then Window then Explorer. The Tutorial will carry on from there.
Let me know if I'm wrong here.

Please don't be put off by this issue. This is a powerful and user friendly NLE and there are many knowledgeable contributors on this forum who will gladly help you when you get stuck.
One other thing, if you do decide to proceed after the trial period, I advise you to go for the Platinum version rather than the Basic. There's not much difference in the price and the Platinum version has far more functionality than the Basic version.

I'm stuck at the same point Jack, and I've tried everything to kick it loose to no avail. I've hidden the Exporer window using View - Window - Explorer then re-shown it, I've closed the Exporer window entirely and tried it again, started the tutorial again, closed the window it tells me to open in the previous step, left it open... none of it gives me the Next button.
