My install failed to register the afxw2.dll so I can't view the tutorials via the help system. I looked for new avi files on my machine but couldn't find any. Anyone know where I can the tutorials so I can play them manually?
I don't know if this is true for afxw2.dll, but most of the dlls are self registering. If you use Windows Explorer to drag afxw2.dll into Moviestudio it will probably register itself. I had the same problem with VF, but I can't remember exactly which dlls were involved.
Thanks but not joy. Tech Support emailed and said to uninstall, make sure and delete the plug-ins folder, then download the latest MS installer and DirectX 9, then reinstall but that didn't work. I downloaded and installed Windows Media Player 9 and patches too but no joy there either. I sent my results back to them and now wait for more suggestions.
Are the demos videos? If so, where are the files located. I'm not adverse to playing them manually
Did you try to get the dll to self register, and if so, what happened? Was there any sort of error message?
The tutorials aren't avis - they take you through various editing techniques using your own video footage. They're a very nice feature - when they work!
Thanks for the tip. If anyone else is running win2k would you compare your file versions to mine? You can get dependency walker here: http://www.dependencywalker.com/
