I am wondering what you folks think. when learning software like Vegas, do you prefer the video content to be on a DVD for TV, or do you like the content encoded and designed to be seen on your computer where you can easily switch back and forth from the application?

I can't decide.

I think you should deliver both.
The interactivity possible with Flash is certainly an attractive option.

I would have to say both also. So far I primarily watch tutorials on TV or Computer, sometimes even read, say from the manual or book, then try out what I've learned on the computer. I would however like to try out the other method of working on the computer with the lesson right there with me.

In an ideal world, yes. The problem is that the design is different. It is like wanting one car that is both a sports car and a dump truck. You either get the two ton load ability or high speed cornering. OK, you might get it to do both, but I couldn't afford to buy it.

I may lean toward computer because I can have 15 students all working on computers at their own pace easier than I can have them each with a DVD player and TV. They could play a DVD on the computer, but since it is on a computer, it might as well be designed for computer.

Hmmm, decisions, decisions...
