Just got a new Samsung 58" 1920x1080 Plasma TV. The picture quality is much better, clear and crisp than expected.
The TV has a built-in player that can play videos from DLNA servers on my house net.
It plays formats like:
.avi or .mkv coded in Divx 3.11-6.0, Xvid, H.264 BP/MP/HP, MPEG4 SP/ASP
.mp4 codec in Xvid, H.264 BP/MP/HP, MPEG4 SP/ASP
.mpg or .mpeg codec in mpeg1,mpeg2, H.264
.ts, .tp, .trp codec in MPEG2, H.264, VC1
All formats (as far as I can read) in 1920x1080 50i, bitrate up to 30 Mbps, Frame rate up to 30 Fps.
Now the question: How do I render to these formats:
I have tried for 2 days now with all variations of Vegas 9.0e's possibilities - but what I get are files like .m2t, .m2ts etc. where only the .m2t in 1440x1080 50i are playable on the middle of the TV screen :-)
Is it possible to render to a .asf, .mp4 or .mp(e)g file coded in i.e. H.264 Main or High profile??
and what codec software should I buy to achieve this?
