TV Codec format question

Just got a new Samsung 58" 1920x1080 Plasma TV. The picture quality is much better, clear and crisp than expected.

The TV has a built-in player that can play videos from DLNA servers on my house net.
It plays formats like:
.avi or .mkv coded in Divx 3.11-6.0, Xvid, H.264 BP/MP/HP, MPEG4 SP/ASP
.mp4 codec in Xvid, H.264 BP/MP/HP, MPEG4 SP/ASP
.mpg or .mpeg codec in mpeg1,mpeg2, H.264
.ts, .tp, .trp codec in MPEG2, H.264, VC1
All formats (as far as I can read) in 1920x1080 50i, bitrate up to 30 Mbps, Frame rate up to 30 Fps.

Now the question: How do I render to these formats:
I have tried for 2 days now with all variations of Vegas 9.0e's possibilities - but what I get are files like .m2t, .m2ts etc. where only the .m2t in 1440x1080 50i are playable on the middle of the TV screen :-)
Is it possible to render to a .asf, .mp4 or .mp(e)g file coded in i.e. H.264 Main or High profile??
and what codec software should I buy to achieve this?

Does your remote have a "shape" or "aspect" button?
Even on BD movies you can alter the screen. Once set you should
be fine.

It does - but as my camera records in 25 Mbps AVCHD - and very well, by the way - then I want to keep the 1920x1080 50i format from camera to TV.

Under Vegas 9.0d I cound render to MPEG-2 1920x1080 50 i - but that possibility seems to have been gone in 9.0e ? or is is just me ?? I have been looking and testing for 1 and a half day now, but that Maniconcept MPEG-2 codec will do only 1440x1080 with sound or 1920x1080 50 i with the sound in a separate .mpa file.
And yes: I have clicked "Include video stream" :-)))

Try creating an h.264 MP4 file using the Sony AVC render type. The Internet 16:9 25p setting is a good starting point. It's 720p but you should be able to change it to 1080.

Found a soloution:

Obviously Vegas 9.0e can not render HD 1920.. input in a HD 1920.. project to HD 1920.. output with audio included in the output video file - as it can do if you render to HDV 1440.

If this is intentional I do not know - I, myself, find it strange, very strange -and I have used 2 full working days cursing and trying to make it work.

The soloution I found after many, many tests (I also downloaded VMSP which seems to have the same issue) and some Googling is:

Do the rendering to i.e. Blueray 1920... and check the include audio field.

Then drop the .m2v and the .mpa files that you get on tsMuxeR from SmartLabs and after 2-3 seconds you get a new .m2ts file with video AND audio.... ready to play.

PS: But I hope that a future version of Vegas will be able to render HD with audio as it renders HDV...
