TWAIN manager error

I started Vegas 4.0d this evening I received the following message:

An error occured starting Vegas
The TWAIN manager could not be initialized. TWAIN_32.dll missing or corrupt.

I removed and reinstalled Vegas 4.0d and still get the same message. Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions.

TWAIN, as far as I know has to do with scanners. Have you done installed a scanner recently or perhaps something with Photoshop?

On my machine I see twain files in my I386 folder, my windows folder, the folder for my printer/scanner and in the folders for Adobe Photoshop and PhotoDeluxe.

I assume that Vegas worked fine before. If you just installed one of those things, try to uninstall it and try Vegas. It's possible something changed your TWAIN_32.dll file to a different version.
