Hi all,
I'm responsible for editing some footage shot at a local film group's actor showcase. There were two cameras used to shoot the actors, and apparently the camera operators didn't take any pains to sync their settings. And this was a one time event, so we can't go re-shoot it!
Anyway, I've fiddled around in Vegas 8 and 9, trying to get them to match as close as possible, but I'm not very good at it ... mostly just guessing, trial and error. So I was hoping someone here might take up the challenge. I've created a zip file with a .veg inside and two still images, one from each camera. The zip can be downloaded from here:
ccAFM.zip - 3MB
Hopefully someone can email me their .veg file with their color correction settings in place. I don't really care which way you go: match cam1 to cam2 or vis versa. I do think the raw cam2 footage looks better (and looks closer to reality), so matching cam1 to that would be great, but not a requirement.
My email is handleyj -at- hotmail -dot- com
Also, I know there is no way to make them look identical, but if they could just get close enough that cutting between them isn't as painful as it currently is (i.e. cutting between the raw shots).
Thanks so much!
