Two Monitor Setups?

Just seen this question over at DMN. As I'm on the edge of taking delivery of my MONSTA! - can I see some people's V4 setups? . . . where do you place all the tools etc . . preview and trimmer . . . Of course I change my setup according to my project. Do you think it would be valuable if we had our own load of Preset Formats for Workspace? This would act as an aide memoire of how I did something and ALSO get me to my "preferred" setup very quickly? Hey, I'm the guy how just found out about F11!

Hi Grazie! DA MONSTA??? Just got my M60 set-up with an 18" (45+ cm) external monitor. I set up my preview window at 720x480 upper right, my audio master upper left, and my trimmer spread full across the bottom third. Been using Regions a lot lately, getting to really like the trimmer. That gives me the top 2/3s of my primary for timelines and the bottom for the other stuff.

Plugged in a 200GB Maxtor via USB2 for the first time yesterday. Are our Inspiron days behind us? I hope so.

2 monitors..

first
- bottom: mediapool, small (auto-size) preview window
- above that the mixer, and above that (1/3 of the screen the trimmer

second
= timeline window, with the media-generators and fx docked and hidden, so when I need a generator I just pull up the timline so it appears.

preview on tv

good luck!

Great stuff lads! Much the same as I do . . . . what doi think of having "Workspace" templates that one could use and create new ones? - Too retentive or what?

Saved workspaces is a must for the next version of Vegas, you could have a timing workspace, editing, mixing audio ........

If anyone knows of a way of fudging this today it would be good.

A lot of grahics apps this feature although typically there egenral interface is no where near as good as Vegas, still amazes how well thougth out and flexible it is.

Been playing in Particle Illusion where you can "Load Layout" from menu with 10 definable configurations. Actually quite helpful. DGrob
