Two MP4 templates? Why?

I notice that I have a "MainConcept" and a "Sony" MP4 template. What are the benefits of each one? I see that the MC one has a ready made Apple iPod subset. That I understand. And that the Sony ones have subsets for PSP. That I understand too. But what and is there a fundamental difference between MC and the SONY templates? And what is the "Q" within the Sony AVC/AAC > "QVGA"?

Thank you.

One is for iPod and the other is for PSP.
You'll see a difference in the encode, BTW.
Benefits of each? Speed, quality, compatibility
haven't done a recent test since 6d came out, but you should see a marked speed improvement in the MC.

QVGA means "quarter VGA" and means the resolution is 1/4 of VGA. This is a common resolution used by LCD manufacturers for various devices.
