UAC Won't Allow Burning

I have found that the User Access Control feature of Windows 7 is the reason why my CD/DVD burner acts like a ROM device.

I have to completely turn off UAC in order to use it for burning.

Does anyone know how to just turn off this feature for the burner?

One work-around is to run CDA as Administrator.

That would be the only way to do it. Windows is now very picky about system level access (and that includes writing to recoradble media).

Writing to recordable media, which carriers a near zero risk in any real-world situation, is controlled and restricted, while writing to the hard drive which can often have disasterous effects isn't. Way to go Microsoft.
