ugly transition

i'm attempting to simulate a smaller 'video panel' inside a larger video. i want the panel to slide in and out to display video when needed. in my example, i simply used the push transition for animation, but the quality is horrible. please take a look at my little test file (2Mbs) and let me know what i'm doing wrong. i'm animating the window above a red background and rendering it out as a raw AVI, bringing it into my project and chroma-keying out the red.

thanks!

Why don't you just use 'Pan/Crop' and keyframing to animate the video panel on it's own track?

You should create your video panel with an alpha channel background (export as .png) then slide the grapic (and video) using track motion keyframes.

works like a charm! i'd attempted using the track motion tool before, but i guess i didn't understand it correctly. thanks!!!
