Might want to experiment with "Pushed 16 millimeter." Ups the saturation, makes it a little more contrasty and adds some diffusion or glow

Edit: After experimenting a little with the above and watching a reduced 24p preview on my TV the idea came to me that you might want to do the above, adjust the FX to your preferences then save as a 360X240 avi (reduce the resolution -- maybe there's a better way to do that), then bring it back in and reduce the framerate to about 2/3rds, perhaps .666 and disable resample. This would give you the appr 18 frames per second of super 8 and the reduced resolution would possibly add to the effect.

(Oh, and of course add a little light grain with Film Effects. )
