Ultimate S question

Finally been checking it out for the first time. Very cool product, Spot. I was wondering about the Duck Audio feature though if it could ever be implemented to have the music audio 'ducked' in such as way that it plays at around a certain level of volume, say -25db. I believe this differs from the way it works now in that Ultimate S lowers the music a set amount of db. Hope I'm making myself clear here.
Anyway, this would require a good bit more porcessing and poppibly compression, but it might be a real time saver. So, is there any way this sort of thing could be implemented into a new version of Ultimate S?
Thanks!

It's been brought up before, in terms of using the V/O tool for ducking, which is a pretty clever way to use the tool. However, scripting doesn't permit Vegas to "see" the audio, only the audio event, therefore peaks, valleys can't be sniffed. Only a VST or DX plugin will be capable of what you're looking for. You could easily duck anything you want, based around events, for instance, if you had dragged a number of snare hits from an ACID library that were sitting apart from each other, each time the snare hits, the ducker would lower the volume of the specified track by XXX dB that you specify in the dialog of Ultimate S, but it's only using the existence of events to create the duck, not the actual audio level itself, because as mentioned above....scripting doesn't get to 'see' the wave.

Thanks for the reply, Spot. I figured it was a pretty complecated thing to do. Guess the solution is to use the feature as a rough in and expect to tweek it from there.
Thanks again!
