Unable to Batch Capture

Using Vegas 4.0c; able to capture perfectly manually/entire tape; however, unable to batch capture. All Transport/advance capture options are greyed-out. Camera is Sony VX200. Generic Firewire card. Pinncle Edition 4.5 is also installed on this computer. Anyone experienced the same? Love Vegas, yet hope that I will not have to get rid of the Edition. Any info appreciated.

Were you able to batch capture in a previous version? I've batch captured several clips tonight using 4.0c.

Try reading the directons in the Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts issue #5 which talks about capturing in Vegas.

Thanks for the reply: This is my first version of Vegas. I have tried all of the suggestions of the Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts on Page 3 of Issue #5. When I preview the tape and pause; the little flag next to the "timecode in" remains greyed-out. However, I was able to assign a clip name to the capture.

Device control is on? you aren't just rolling camera and then hitting the capture button to get those full tape captures, are you?

I do have the device control enabled. I am also able to scrub and control play and rewind; however, no batch capture. If necesarry, I will have to always capture the eintire tape. Still love Vegas and Excabur.
