Unable to burn BluRay DVDs

I prepared a project in DVD Architect Pro 5.2 (1980x1080, 24 progressive) to be burned as BluRay. When ready, I clicked into "Make Blu-Ray disc" and the process begins, taking about 1.5 hours for a 30 minutes project. Fine. The problem is that at the end I get the message "DVD successfuly burned", the DVD is ejected as epected from the tray, but..... It is blank!!! Just as if I had not done anything with it!
Can anyone offer an explanation and recommendation? This is quite frustrating!
I use Sony BD-R and the burner is a HL-DT-SD BD-RE BE06LU11.

You say that you used Sony BD-R but you also say "DVD successfuly burned" and "the DVD is ejected".

BD and DVD are different things. Please be careful with your wording so that we don't get false information and have to ask unnecessary questions.

Are you sure that you started with a BD project, inserted a blank BD and pressed "Make Blu-ray disc"? When completed it should say "the burn completed successfully".
