Unable to dock to lower half?

I just got a new ultrawide monitor and wanted to shift my editing over to it to take advantage of the extra horizontal space. Now with a 21:9 aspect ratio I wanted to shift my Project Media dock down so it would be to the left of the timeline and easier to just drag clips to it, but Vegas won't allow any docks in that section.

I've been using Vegas for the past 2 years now and never really adjusted or played around with where the docks went. Has this never been an option in Vegas before?

@SnarfConsortium I have asked this a few years back as I had the same question and an ultra wide monitor (if I can vaguely recall), but as far as I know this is still not possible. Not sure why this seems difficult to allow or implement this, as Vegas custom windows docking is very flexible indeed. I suppose just get used to it like me, or request this as a new feature...

I don't have a 21:9 monitor, but have 2 16:10 monitors and are able to create and save a docking area positioned left form the timeline. Or isn't this what you mean?:

You can have VEGAS not fill the whole screen and dock windows beside it, but that has its limitations. I don't remember why, but there was a technical limitation preventing that kind of docking layout that would require some work to overcome, but hopefully that, along with tabbed, multiple timelines, can be done soon.
