So I forked out for the Vegas Pro 17 update, but I can't even start the program after the installation as the start up screen freezes right after the "creating video plug in factory" appears in the lower left corner.

@espen-braathen Hi! The Plugin creation sequence could be an indicator of the issue.
My Vegas Pro 16 still runs.
@espen-braathen Again, that which worked in VP16 ain’t a true gauge of the issues you’re now getting in VP17. I understand your expectations would be that it should be, but the reality is that it isn’t. I had issues and needed to delete the Boris Plugs, I didn’t even use them. I do run Boris MOCHAPro19 and now the fabulous Particle Illusion, and all is well.... so far 🥴
@espen-braathen We need more information than you’ve presented.
Well, I don't have any other information than provided above.
However there is now a similar thread on the forum and the solution seems to remove the Boris FX stuff from the OFX / Plugins / folder. Vegas 17 now starts up.
@espen-braathen -Yup, that’ll do it. I had this and I believe on that very first OFX Plugin scan it gets corrupted and so it sticks around. Deleting that OFX Folder allows VP to refresh itself and renew the Plugs. Think of it as sweeping out the remainder of the previous links - I think 🤔. This could be an issue with the Installation process and therefore an Install Bug. We’ve been here before.
