I am a new user having trouble opening my Digital Juice mpg video clips in Movie Studio. I receive this message "unsupported file format". Am I missing something?
you are missing the proper codec. just find out what codec your clip is and go pick it upand install it on your computer. gspot is a good choice to find out the codec if you aren't sure.
I guess I should have given a little more info. I am able to open and few the Digital Juice video clips in Media Player. I used Pinnacle Studio before and had no problems opening the files. I did download gspot, and used it on one of the clips. It says the codec is on my PC. Anyone have any thoughts?
I would recommend removing any codec if it cannot work with exitsing encoded formats. I use VirtualDub. Load the file into is and just resave it with a different name. VirtualDub without any adjustmens will save as uncompressed video. While this is space intensive, it is codec free, and usable. I do this all the time with movies that have DIVX/XVID.
